Purpose
The Honors Program, established in 1959, is designed to enrich the academic experience of highly motivated students at Baylor University. The program supplements traditional degree requirements and majors in all departments and schools of the university by offering smaller, distinctive classes, interdisciplinary approaches, and opportunities to pursue research with faculty mentors.
The Honors Program at Baylor University is also affiliated with the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC), an association of colleges and universities committed to the promotion and advancement of Honors and similar educational programs in American colleges and universities. For more information please go to the NCHC website.
